Back from lunch.
Went makan at the new cafe down the road, I insisted on a
omelette.
Their cook tried, but it just does not come close to what I am
looking for.
Omelette was good with a surprise ingredients of squash as a
filler. And they were working on my information that I am
vegetarian, but can take egg and cheese.
The salad oil on the side veggies was a surprise tart and savoury
vinegar oil with sesame seeds.
The omelette was tasty, the oreo cheese cake lack omph. only that
dilmah earl grey tea served in a pot and I drank it w/o sugar of
any sorts was any good.
A lot of work need to be done for that cafe. The owner is a finance
australian chinese guy and has training as a barista. But they are
frankly still so green in everything! I fear that this wont
last.
For $9.90/- for that meal....anda really quiet cafe with me
flipping thru a Her World magazine waiting for the meal......I dont
see how it can attract customers.
Frankly, in a location where everyone food shops here is fighting
to attract people....and there is angmoh galore Boat Quay.....with
a huge crowd of people who frankly has some years overseas....they
need a stronger presense which they arent really impressing on the
folks around.
